First Iteration Plucking Attachments
This video shows the first design for the strumming arms. It utilized 3D printed “pluckers” to strum the strings. However, the pluckers were too thick and rounded to actually pluck the string. Instead, they just pushed the string to the side.
Single String Tuning
This video shows the tuner tuning one string at a time. The tuner works from left to right, moving on to the next string once the current string was within the desired frequency range.
2 String/4 String Tuning
This video shows the multi-tasking capabilities of the tuner. Due to harmonic interference with the lower (E and A) strings with the higher (D, G, B, and e) strings, we split the multi-string tuning to tune in two groups. The first two strings are tuned concurrently. Once they are in tune, the tuner tunes the remaining four strings at the same time.
This video shows the programmable strumming of a static tuning. This demonstrates the ability of the tuner to work in real-time to react to a programmed strum pattern.
